Conflict Minerals Policy

Mapartel is committed to the responsible sourcing of conflict minerals, including tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold, that come from entities that directly or indirectly finance conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or neighboring countries, we support the objectives set out in section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act on conflict minerals, and we stand against human rights abuses associated with the extraction, transport, and trade of conflict minerals.

Mapartel requires that suppliers:

​

• Do not include in any of the products supplied to Mapartel any non-conflict-free minerals from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or neighboring countries.

• Develop policies and procedures for conflict minerals to prevent them from being included in products supplied to Mapartel.

• Procure conflict minerals only from conflict-free sources from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or neighboring countries.

• Immediately notify Mapartel of any reasonable suspicion to believe that the products you supply to Mapartel are not conflict-free from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

• Maintain records and/or documentation verifying the origin of the conflict minerals and provide Mapartel with such information if necessary.

Consequences of the supplier's non-compliance:

• Mapartel periodically evaluates its suppliers to verify compliance with applicable legislation.

• Suppliers who don't comply with this policy will be reviewed by the purchasing area for future business.

• If Mapartel, through the purchasing area, determines that a supplier's compliance with this policy has been deficient and the supplier does not facilitate the development and implementation of corrective actions, it will apply the sanctions it deems appropriate, which may include the interruption of purchases from the supplier.

Mapartel expects all suppliers to base their statements on an ethical attitude, showing responsibility at all times, ensuring the good of the company, and thereby maintaining a trusting working relationship for mutual benefit.
